Working with everyday objects is a recurring thread in our practice. We’re drawn to things that usually go unnoticed, and to the idea of pulling them out of the background and turning them into something almost monumental. This project came at exactly the right moment. It was an idea we had been planning for some time, and this opportunity allowed us to take it one step further. Not just observing everyday objects, but turning them into image surfaces themselves, letting the objects become the image. By doing so, we also transform the everyday environment into an exhibition space: inhabiting the exterior context directly, without permissions, curators, or institutional processes. It allows us to place our work wherever we choose.
