The object we transformed was something very universal, yet nostalgic, and deeply personal: paper. Creating the images came rather naturally to us. First, Juan and I spoke about different materials that we use in our everyday lives. We quickly realized how much the everyday objects around us had changed over the years, compared to when we were young. In our childhood, paper was a material we did so many different things with: Our first drawings, homework, building paper planes, and paying with actual money bills: paper was everywhere!

Both of us have a fashion background, so we decided to create intriguing looks out of paper. Letting our inner child loose and play with shapes and colour. In a way, it’s an homage to our childhood and paper as a material.
