I’ve always been drawn to the dynamic between a photographer and a model in a fashion image. I owe everything to the people I photograph, as they become an extension of my perspective through the fantasy we create together on set. Staging shop mannequins alongside live models across two frames, one rendered in silhouette, allowed me to gesture toward that phantasmal exchange that unfolds behind the camera. Like many fashion photographers before me, I’ve grown fascinated with the hyperrealism of mannequins and their ability to convey such expressiveness within a fixed form.
