Helmets have always felt like an extension of the body once worn, an added layer that not only protects but transforms perception, posture, and identity. That sensation is what led me to explore their presence beyond function. In this photograph, motorcycle helmets are used as sculptural elements to recreate and amplify that idea of extension, transforming them into volumes that reshape the human form. Rather than being worn in a conventional way, the helmets are repositioned and reimagined as parts of the body itself, almost like organic growths or prosthetic expansions. They disrupt the natural silhouette, creating unfamiliar contours that blur the boundary between object and flesh. This work explores the idea of the body extending beyond its limits, questioning where it begins and ends, and how external elements can become intrinsic, almost inseparable parts of ourselves.
